First word?
I think Randy and I decided this is it. She has said ‘dada’ and ‘mama’ but it’s really just coincidental - repeating the same sound… This is her first intentional combination of two different sounds, and so we are calling it her first word. Please see video for 5 minutes of ‘uh-oh’

There is no photographic evidence, but Randy and Maren and I did indeed go jogging in Prospect Saturday morning. We did the whole loop (with a small break for bottle making). Felt pretty good since mommy has only been running ONE other time since Maren was born. Pathetic. Anyway - set the tone for a nice day: met Jessica and Millberger at Woodwork to watch Fulham get beat by Man U. Took video of...

On Maren’s ACTUAL birthday, Grandpa and Mormor came into town and we chilled at 145 Halsey with a traditional St.Patty’s dinner (kind of). The most important part of which was the pre-cooked corned beef (que aside). So I am at Trader Joe’s trying to figure out what to buy for dinner, my folks coming into JFK in about 2 hours. I see a Saint Patrick’s Day display of Trader...

WatchAfter Thanksgiving had passed, we of course went to IKEA, where Maren got an elephant bigger than her. He also makes a good car pillow. Photos of Maren’s first Turkey Day coming soon!

Last weekend in Maryland -
We have gone back on a couple weekends now to Grandma Mimi’s house to clean out and fix up Randy’s old room (30 year old carpet!) We got to a good place on this last trip and should be able to all stay there come Thanksgiving, which was our goal. Also, Mickey’s assistant crocheted this sweet jacket for Mare-Bear! Cuteness.

Hooray! So happy for John and Julie. Maren will be getting a couple of first cousins later this year as well! I little boy cousin and a who-knows cousin. Its baby time!

A bunch of people we know have babies. We all go together with the dressed up kiddos and had a halloween. Fun times.
It's been too long
Some quick catch-up posts. We went to California! To Palm Springs to watch Allen and Erin get married. We also got to see some friends in LA. Mare-bear did great on her longest flight yet - 6 hours!
